For telecommunications networks to function, towers need to be energized. A telecommunications operator needs to maintain a network availability of higher than 99.5% of the time. Secure power is the prerequisite for tower sites.
Low Voltage (LV) Grid Power Connection is a crucial component for the functionality of telecommunications infrastructures. As experienced and competent contractors, VEST DISTINCTION will ensure that the pathway for the power to be supplied to the telco equipment is within the equipment’s specification and as cost-efficiently as possible, without sacrificing quality. In some instances, a low voltage (LV) grid power connection is also known as a commercial power supply. We liaise with electrical utility companies to conduct joint surveys to ensure the best route for establishing power connection; TNB in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. (SESB) in Sabah and Sarawak Energy in Sarawak.
From site surveys to the installation of meter panels, installing client-compliant telecom equipment power distribution units (PDU), cabling works, application to electrical utility companies (TNB application), documentation, liaising with the electrical utility companies and our client to work out timeline for site commissioning as well as carrying out power measurement works for either Three-phase AC power, Single Phase AC power from TNB’s grid, and DC power supplied to the Telco Equipment, for example.
