WHAT IS CIDB CERTIFICATION?

The construction sector in Malaysia plays a crucial role in the economy. For businesses in the Construction industry to operate in Malaysia, it is mandatory for all contractors whether local or foreign to register with the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (LPIPM) or CIDB under Section 25 of Act 520 (Amendment 2011). The following activities in Malaysia require a CIDB License:
  • Civil engineering construction (CE)
  • Building construction (B)
  • Mechanical construction (ME)
  • Electrical construction (E)

  • Automatically covered by a special Insurance Scheme that insures the Construction personnel against death and accidents.
